Site Directions: From I-24, take exit 158 and travel north on Hwy 27 about 0.5 miles to Hwy 41/64. Turn right (toward the lake) and travel approximately 1.5 miles to the park entrance.

Site Description: The park is a peninsula in Nickajack Lake. There is a campground on the peninsula, which can be busy in the warm months of the year. Roads travel around the area and give great views of the lake from all sides. Restroom facilities are available. The park is a good place to stop to look for waterfowl and gulls in winter while passing by on I-24.

Wildlife to Watch: The best time to visit is in late fall through winter. The gulls may be abundant, especially if there is a shad die-off. Waterfowl may be common, including ring-necked duck, canvasback, mallard, lesser and greater scaup, among others. Pied-billed grebes are often seen in winter, as are double-crested cormorants.
